G. Venodthan is the Chief Executive Officer of Thistlegorm Forensic Group, a multidisciplinary
investigation consultancy offering expert investigative services for criminal and civil proceedings,
insurance claims, and litigation support — consolidating critical forensic disciplines under one roof. The
firm has offices in Malaysia and the United Kingdom.
Having graduated with honours from Kingston University, London, with a Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Engineering, he gained a solid foundation in engineering principles. His commitment to advancing his expertise led him to pursue a Master of Criminal Justice degree at the esteemed University of Malaya, Malaysia, further enhancing his understanding of investigative practices and criminal justice systems. Venodthan is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), accredited by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), accredited by the Nasional Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI).
With over 11 years of experience as a Forensic Investigator and former Loss Adjuster, he brings a wealth of experience in handling diverse cases across sectors. Venodthan has been exposed to over 500 cases, including engineering, machinery breakdown, fire, motor vehicle accidents, murder, suicide, fraud, bodily injury, liability, and catastrophic losses.
Seamlessly integrating a profound understanding of criminal justice into investigative processes, Venodthan actively engages in both civil and criminal investigations. Collaborating with relevant experts as necessary, he assumes the role of a lead investigator, demonstrating his commitment to quality investigations.
